Research Areas
- Anthropology and Sociology – we apply cultural theories and ethnographic research to the exploration of religions, politics, kinship, gender, education, health, migration, landscapes and the media
- Archaeology – our research covers archaeology in Australia, Asia and Europe, with a particular emphasis on Indigenous archaeology.
- Asian Studies – we research a range of contemporary and historical topics as well as languages.
- Communication Studies – we cover a broad range of communications issues encompassing new technologies, screen studies, and politics and mass media.
- English and Cultural Studies – our staff work across a number of genres, historical periods and thematic areas,
- Political Science and International Relations – Our research spans electoral behaviour, international relations, political theory, political institutions and public administration.
- Gender Studies – staff are engaged in a number of research projects, and welcome the opportunity for collaboration.
