Postgraduate Students

Funding for Postgraduates

The School provides research funding (application form) of up to $4,000 for PhD students, and $2,000 for Masters by research students.

In addition, research postgraduates are eligible for one $740 conference grant (application form) during their studies.

Postgraduates may also be eligible for a publications grant. Please download the application form.

The School also provides other resources for postgraduates.

Dean's Postgraduate Awards

Each year, applications are called for the Dean's Postgraduate Awards. The scheme aims to enrich the research experiences and the development of the Faculty's students, and enhancing the nexus between research and teaching, as expressed in the Faculty's Operational Priorities and Strategic Plans. Travel Approval Forms

5TH ANNUAL SSCS GRADUATE CONFERENCE: NEW APPROACHES/ NEW UNDERSTANDINGS
Registration for the 5th Annual SSCS Graduate Conference is now open. This year's theme is 'New Approaches/ New Understandings'. The conference will be held in the Blue Room, Currie Hall on Wednesday 11 November 2009 from 8.30am to 5.15 pm. It is free to all graduates in the School of Social and Cultural Studies. Registration is essential and must be completed by 6 November 2009. Please forward the registration form below to judithj@cyllene.uwa.edu.au or email Judy giving your details. A programme of the papers will appear on the website shortly.  Morning and afternoon teas and lunch is provided. Door Prizes galore!
