The honours year is exciting and challenging.

It forms an excellent base for postgraduate work in literary and cultural studies, and is widely recognised by employers as a prestigious qualification.

Structure

Honours, Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) and Higher Degree by Research Preliminary consist of:

  • four seminars (6 points each)
  • dissertation (24 points) taken over two consecutive semesters.

Eligibility

To apply you must have achieved:

  • a Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Pass) degree from UWA or another institution within the last seven years
  • grades of 70 per cent or higher.

If your BA is more than seven years old, you can apply for entrance to the Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) or HDR Preliminary. Both courses have a quota.
